So. This blog is intended for general amusement, but we’d like to bring to your attention a charity that needs help! With the large following we have on this site (STILL AMAZED BY THIS!), we feel that all of us could really make a difference.
First things first: You don’t have to donate money. Unless you count time as money because, yeah, a bit of your time is required.
Askate is a program that helps children with autism learn to skateboard through clinics held around the country. A bit odd, you may think, pairing autistic children with skateboards. BUT it actually works! Skateboarding has no team, no coaches, and no rules, which makes it ideal. For some autistic children, the clinics run by Askate are the first time they are able to interact socially.

Askate needs your help in the Pepsi Refresh project. They’re going for a $50K grant, which would allow them to hold more clinics in more places, which in turn would help more children.
You can vote for them by going to http://www.refresheverything.com/askate.
If you drink Pepsi, look for the “Power Vote” code in the cap, and use it online (same address as above) to vote for Askate.
