Disney Ladies from Last Night

I have a confession to make. It’s terribly embarrassing, but…I’m not feeling very inspired right now…

Anyway. I was wonderiiiing if you lovely gals and guys had any suggestions for ladies you would like to see. I know we did a feature thingy a little while ago, but this wouldn’t be as intense.

To put it as bluntly as possible: I don’t know who to post, so tell me who you want to see.

(Oh, and by the by, we usually just stick to animated Disney ladies. So, sorry, but no live action and no Pixar…I think there’s a general Disney TFLN blog that does those…)

Helloooo, Lovely Followers!

So. This blog is intended for general amusement, but we’d like to bring to your attention a charity that needs help! With the large following we have on this site (STILL AMAZED BY THIS!), we feel that all of us could really make a difference.

First things first: You don’t have to donate money. Unless you count time as money because, yeah, a bit of your time is required.

Askate is a program that helps children with autism learn to skateboard through clinics held around the country. A bit odd, you may think, pairing autistic children with skateboards. BUT it actually works! Skateboarding has no team, no coaches, and no rules, which makes it ideal. For some autistic children, the clinics run by Askate are the first time they are able to interact socially.

Vans (the shoe company) made a short video about Askate and its founder, which can be found here.

Askate needs your help in the Pepsi Refresh project. They’re going for a $50K grant, which would allow them to hold more clinics in more places, which in turn would help more children.

You can vote for them by going to http://www.refresheverything.com/askate.

If you drink Pepsi, look for the “Power Vote” code in the cap, and use it online (same address as above) to vote for Askate.

You can also text in your vote. Simply text 108814 to 73774 (standard text messaging rates apply).

Askate is currently in 7th place; voting ends at the end of September.
